Six senses ibiza: an authentic vision of the island between hospitality, sustainability and celebration
Designed by architect Jonathan Leitersdorf, the charming Six Senses Ibiza is located in the secluded bay of Xarraca, on the northern tip of Ibiza. Opened in 2021, it offers guests a breathtaking view on the crystal clear water and an extraordinary experience in the kingdom of hospitality and sustainability.
With over 100 among residences, villas, traditional suites and evocative suites inside caves nested in the cliffs, Six Senses Ibiza is a magical place where to enjoy deep spiritual experiences that celebrate music, art, sustainable fashion, wellness and the authentic spirit of the island.
“Six Senses Ibiza is a reflection of the natural vibrations and vitality of the Balearic Islands”, explains Jonathan Leitersdorf. “By channelling the unique sense of community and celebration of the place, we have created a really transformative environment where guests are encouraged to find a deep connection within themselves and with nature, while discovering what makes Ibiza a place like no other in the world”. ____ Each experience, from food to wellness, is inspired by tradition and by the values of the northern part of the island making up a destination that offers meaningful moments of community, spirituality and celebration.

The beating heart of this facility is the Six Senses Spa, an exclusive haven dedicated to wellness and to the care of body and mind. Built on three floors overlooking the cliff, the spa is designed specifically to create an immersive experience, thanks to holistic treatments and targeted programs for every need. Its solutions rely on the innovative technologies by Starpool, enhancing the wellness offer with spaces dedicated to physical and mental regeneration. This project was turned into reality also thanks to the partnership with Thomas Wellness Group, official Starpool partner in Spain.

Among these technologies, Steam Room is a reinvigorating oasis where the strength of heat is combined with the lightness of steam. With 45°C and a humidity rate of 98%, Steam Room favours the body’s natural relaxation, improving perspiration and promoting the production of serotonin, the hormone of happiness. Air, steam and aromas merge into a multi-sensory experience that leads to deep regeneration. Another piece of excellence is the Finnish sauna by Starpool, enriched by the “Combi” option, bringing together the tradition of the Finnish sauna with the innovation of the infra-red technology.

A versatile environment where it is possible to choose between the intense heat of the Finnish sauna, ideal to relax muscles and promote passive cardiovascular training, and the localised heat of infra-red rays, penetrating inside the body through an ergonomic backrest, facilitating recovery after physical activity. The spa also offers a Hammam, an area combining tradition and innovation, where the enveloping heat and the purifying steam summon an ancient ritual for body detoxification and mind relaxation. At Six Senses, many are the ways that lead to well-being. Guests are guided in a customised circuit towards growth and reconnection: from biohacking to optimise one’s natural recovery devices, to workshops of multilayer wellness, to customised proposals for skin care.

Rose Bar is an innovative club where functional medicine and spiritual wisdom result in longevity programs, combining diagnosis and nutrition guide with modern healing methods to optimise health and performance. The area measures 1,200 sqm and also features a cuttingedge fitness area, a yoga platform on the roof, an outdoor boxing ring, a steam bath, a salon, a hot bath and much more.
The complete offer of bars and restaurants in this wellness temple presents the power of biological, seasonal and local ingredients in different and innovative ways. The Chef means to boost the energy of the island through plant-based cuisine, taking advantage of the abundance of ingredients in Ibiza, from avocadoes to watermelons, oranges, melons, and coarse salt.
The goal is that food speaks for itself. The Farm provides fresh and biological products. Through regenerative agriculture, the reduction of water use, the promotion of local biodiversity and a farmto-table approach, the food that is served is not only nutritious, but also in line with the fundamental values of sustainability. After all, each detail at Six Senses Ibiza, was designed to combine quality and sustainability. Powered by its own sources of renewable energy, reaching up to 51%, and pursuing the goals of Zero Waste and zero disposable plastic, it is the first resort and residential community in the Balearic Islands to have obtained the BREEAM certification. It is one of the most important building assessment methods internationally, setting a new benchmark for sustainable real estate sector worldwide.
