PURSUANT TO ARTICLES 13 AND 14 OF THE GDPR (EU REGULATION 2016/679) FOR THE “SIM 4.0” IoT SYSTEM
Starpool’s SIM 4.0 IoT system enables users to remotely monitor and manage purchased products through electronic devices such as PCs, tablets, and smartphones. The activation and use of the system involve the collection of personal data, including email address, product location, login credentials, and technical information relating to the operation of the devices. This data is processed in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) for contractual purposes, legal obligations, service optimization, and, where consent has been provided, direct marketing activities. Starpool ensures the security and confidentiality of personal data by implementing appropriate safeguards, including in the event of transfers to countries outside the European Union. Data subjects are granted all rights provided under applicable legislation, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection to processing.
II. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE “SIM 4.0” IoT SYSTEM – USER LICENSE
The document “Terms and Conditions of Use of the SIM 4.0 IoT System” governs the use of SIM 4.0, an IoT platform that enables the remote monitoring and control of STARPOOL products through a dedicated app and web portal. The user license is valid for a period of five years. Access to the services requires user registration, acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, and acknowledgment of the Privacy Notice. The system enables remote product management, the collection of technical and personal data, and provides support and reporting functionalities. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials and may delete their account at any time. In the event of prolonged inactivity, accounts may be deactivated. Specific restrictions apply regarding improper use of the platform, security violations, and unauthorized access attempts. STARPOOL limits its liability for service interruptions or malfunctions and reserves the right to suspend access in the event of violations of these Terms and Conditions.
