Costa Favolosa, weighing 114,500 tons and measuring more than 300 meters long, can accommodate as much as 3,800 passengers and took up her duties in July 2011. Costa Favolosa, inspired by design, wants to understand the emotions of cruise line clients looking for a magical and charming “contemporary castle”. Costa Favolosa is the first out of two ships taking up her duties, her twin Costa Fascinosa is due to be delivered in spring 2012. Costa Favolosa offers 772 cabins with private balconies – out of a total of 1,540 cabins – that is the highest percentage of cabins with private balconies of the Costa fleet (68%). She is therefore particularly suited to cruises with spectacular and attractive itineraries. Onboard you can find the best of the latest innovations proposed by the Costa ships: the “Samsara Spa” – one of the largest wellness centers ever built aboard a cruise ship, a central swimming pool area on two decks with a retractable crystal roof equipped with a giant movie screen and a Formula One simulator. Moreover, you will find some exclusive innovations, never proposed so far on the Costa fleet, including a golf simulator. The interiors, designed by the brilliant architect Joe Farcus, have been thought to offer maximum comfort and usability, all the passenger decks being entirely practicable from bow to stern.
